Peter Harkin
Peter was appointed joint Managing Director of IDS Group in 2004 and oversees the Investigations and Surveillance Divisions. Prior to joining IDS Peter served for over 16 years with the Queensland Police Service where he attained the rank of Sergeant.
During his career Peter has gained extensive experience in undertaking and managing all types of investigations, surveillance operations and completing intelligence assignments and assessments.
Peter specialises in Workplace Investigations and Surveillance and has obtained the following qualifications:
- Diploma of Government (Fraud Control)
- Diploma of Government (Investigations)
- Certificate IV in Assessment & Workplace Training
- Diploma of Business (Frontline Management)
- Certificate III in Investigative Services
- Diploma of Public Safety (Policing)
- Advanced Diploma of Intelligence Practice
- Behavioural Interviewing
Peter currently holds the following executive positions on industry associations.
- Secretary - Queensland Division of the Institute of Mercantile Agents Ltd (IMA)
- President - Australian Investigators Association (AIA is a Division of the IMA)
- World Association of Detectives (WAD) Area Governor for Australasia
- Former Regional Director (Australia & NZ) Council of International Investigators (CII)
