Nick Wright

Nick was appointed joint Managing Director of IDS Group in 2004 and manages the Background Screening Division.  Nick has been involved in the investigation industry since 1991 and joined IDS in 1997.  Nick specialises in Background Screening and has obtained the following qualifications:

• Certificate in Investigative Services;
• Graduate Certificate in Business (Professional Management);
• Certificate IV in Government Investigations; and
• Certificate IV in Government (Fraud Control).

Nick currently holds the following executive positions on Industry Associations:

• President of the Queensland Division of the Institute of Mercantile Agents Ltd (IMA);
• Process Serving Chairperson of the Australian Mercantile Agents Association (AMAA is a Division of the IMA) ;
• (Former) Vice President and Area Governor (Asia Pacific) of the World Investigators Network (WIN); and
• Secretary of the Asia Pacific (APAC) Chapter for the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS).

Nick was the recipient of the “Investigator of the Year Award” (outstanding service for the investigation industry) presented at the World Investigators Network 2010 Annual Conference, Rome, Italy as well as the Brian O’Meara Award 2010/2011 presented at the Institute of Mercantile Agents (IMA) National Conference, Sydney 2011.  Nick was also awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by the Queensland Police Service for “Support to the Intelligence Training Program”.
