Jody Wright
Jody joined the IDS team in early 2005 and is currently the Legal and Compliance Manager. She is also our Quality Assurance Manager and Client Services Manager and assists with Workplace Investigations in a consultative capacity and also assists with background screening investigations.
Jody has been involved in the insurance and risk management industry for over 7 years. Her time in the professional indemnity insurance field included handling negligence claims made against lawyers and providing risk management and minimisation advice to the legal industry. Her role at IDS has also involved compliance and risk management training for staff and external stakeholders. Prior to her experience in the risk management field Jody was a lawyer practising in private practice in commercial litigation and also personal injuries.
Jody holds the following qualifications:
- Bachelor of Laws (UQ);
- Admitted to Practice as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland;
- Certificate III in Investigative Services;
- Current Licensed Private Investigator; and
- Certificate obtained in Quality Assurance training.
As well as her role at IDS, Jody has been significantly involved in the Institute of Mercantile Agents and in 2007, received an Excellence Award from the Institute for her contribution to the association. She has presented various seminar topics relevant to the industry at conferences and also to clients and other interested stakeholders on a variety of topics including risk management, compliance, ethics and professionalism. She also conducts a significant amount of our staff training.
